Ian Wales: Vice President As the head of the cost estimating department at Developers Research for over 18 years, Ian has personally been a part of thousands of horizontal land development cost estimates. He has worked in over 20 states from California (Southern & Northern), Florida, Texas, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, Utah, Washington, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, New Mexico, New York, South Carolina, Colorado, Oregon, Idaho, North Dakota, Louisiana, and (Baja, Mexico), (Ontario, Canada). While at Developers Research Ian manages the due diligence process with all of our employees. He has worked with many large and small home building companies to create their cost estimates; builders such as William Lyon, Lennar, New Home Company, and DR Horton; investment banks such as Paulson, Lehman Brothers, Sabal, and Oak Tree, as well as private land owners and individual investors. As a valued team member on any land development team Ian has helped manage consultants and contractors, from the CFD bid process to large scale multi-million cubic yard grading bids with multiple bidders.
